 ESDA works in the forefront of policy, business, community and donor arenas to promote use of appropriate sustainable energy systems. Examples of project undertaken include: development of sustainable charcoal policy in Kenya, energy policy dialogue forum for stakeholder to discuss energy issues in Kenya, coordination of RE standards and practices;implementing the UNDP Annual Work Plan on increasing access to cleaner energy; and mapping current and potential sources and supplies of energy and how they impact on poverty.
