It is the purpose of the Society to encourage research in the fields of implantable telemetry, wildlife telemetry
telemetry in birds & small animals, underwater telemetry, satellite telemetry and telemedicine, among others.
The Society will, wherever possible, support or initiate ways of achieving these objectives through its own activities, by exchange of information and cooperation with other groups in the field of biotelemetry.  An annual symposium is held on Biotelemetry.
