Project Activities:
Field staff and park guards at Ampijoroa, Baly Bay and Menabe were given mobile phones alongside their conservation equipment.

Communications can be made when staff are in Mahajanga or Morondava - the nearest towns with network coverage. In the past, lines of communication between remote locations were slow and unreliable and mobile phones enable contact to be made easier.
