Four core program areas: innovation in the use of ICT, supporting projects that explore and apply new generation ICTs in support of development goals; R&D in Afican ICTs, supporting African Institutions, especially universities; partnerships and networks, to support the sharing of expertise and knowledge across national borders, and to develop mechanisms for co-ordination amongst donors involved with ICTs for African development. Application is submission of a concept note for review.
